Here’s what I was told when I was trying to make it in life…
- Get a good education and a stable job.
- Live below your means and save for the future.
- Work hard and play by the rules.
But I knew all of this just didn’t feel right.
Deep down I knew there is more to life, and trading is the vehicle driving the financial freedom I seek.
The truth of the matter is, no one is coming to save me.
I wish this wasn’t the case, but wishing does me no good.
If I want to make a difference, I have to take action.
I’ve had a lot of wins, many losses, and learned many painful lessons. Being a trader can be difficult. Every day is an emotional roller coaster ride of thinking, I’m not good enough. Even to this day.
I can tell you, if I knew then what I know now, I would have gotten here in a fraction of the time.
Years ago, I wanted to get the next software engineer promotion level…
I spent countless hours working overtime to be a top performing employee. I would go home and continue taking tickets. Hoping that by the time my annual review came, I’d hear the words “promotion.”
But that never happened. I soon realized that even if I worked harder, got to know all the teams and systems that make this giant application work, I wasn’t going to get where I wanted, fast enough. So, I had to get serious about making money elsewhere.
And that’s what led me to trading. I am obsessed with the art of evaluating market direction using technical analysis and fundamentals. Then, getting freakin paid for it.
If you’re ready to escape the trap of the middle class, then…
